“Engeln” Stereo Lantern
Slide Viewer
|
|
The above item is a stereo slide reader that could be used either with normal day-light, or with an internal lighting by a low power electric bulb. The slide tray is visible to the right of the operator. The viewing lenses are separately adjustable to the reader’s eyesight. The Engeln
Electric Company, Cleveland, Ohio, started business late in the second decade
as makers of x-ray accessories and then of heavier equipment (dental and
mobile units, fluoroscopes, x-ray tables, etc), but, after several
unsuccessful associations, disappeared from the market by the Big Depression
in 1930. |
